The friendlyness of the staff and willingness to help you get to places you wanted to go and also advice on places to see and do.
The Rex is a quaint hotel that is within walking distance of of many places and just steps away from a trolly stop. The rooms are clean but small ut perfect for one person or 2 who dont plan on spendind much time in the room. The Rex is also a Blues/Jazz bar and restaurant which can be quite relaxing after a long day of touring the city.

I loved how easy it was to walk to amazing spots like Nathan Phillips Square and the Campbell House Museum, made my city strolls so enjoyable and nice. The Rex has an active music life with groups performing nearly every night. Most nights there is a cover charge ranging from 8-15 dollars per person.
To have a quieter sleep, recommend getting a room on the second floor not the first floor due to musical performances.

The vibe of the bar was fantastic, and I
Loved the live jazz performances every night. The noise from the street made it a challenge to sleep, particularly during the early morning hours.
